Bringing People WEST

1894:Bringing People WEST

It is said that missions and the Spanish colonial era were used as an effective marketing tool to lure residents from the East Coast and the Midwest to the state. The architecture romanticized California’s past. The deep arcades, a corner domed tower, and red Spanish roof tiles is one of the best examples of this Mission Revival and for decades our building was covered in white plaster.
